How do I post a status message to my profile?

You can update a status message in your Profile, which will be visible to you and your connections.

Go to Home.

When you first log into UVACollab, you are placed in your Home site.  If you are viewing another UVACollab site, select the Home button in the favorites bar at the top of the screen, or in your My Sites list, to access it.

Go to Profile.

Select Profile from the tool menu in your Home site.

Enter a status message.

  1. To post to the wall via the profile page, enter text into the Say something field near the top of the screen.
  2. Select the Say it button to post the message.

Note: Posts are limited to 140 characters; a counter will display to the right of the field indicating the number of remaining characters.

View your updated status.

Your message will appear next to your name at the top of the page.

Remove the message.

You can remove the status message by selecting Clear next to the message.
