How do I add rich text content to a page in Lessons?

Instructors can add rich text content so that they can customize text formatting, embed images or other media, and present content in an accessible way.

Go to Lessons.

Select the Title of the page (e.g., Lessons, Activities, Week: 1) from the tool menu in your site.

Select Add Content.

Select Add Text.

In the window that pops up, select Add Text.

Enter content into the Rich-Text Editor.

Enter the desired content into the editor. The content may be formatted or supplemented using the tools available in the editor toolbars.

Select Save to save the content.

Tip: Copy or type the following tags into your text to add the viewer's name in Lessons. The name displayed is based on the viewer's UVACollab profile.

  • First name tag: {{firstname}}
  • Last name tag: {{lastname}}
  • Full name (first and last name) tag: {{fullname}}

Note: After entering text or other content into the editor in UVACollab, we recommend using the Accessibility Checker to confirm that the content is fully accessible to all site participants. See How do I check my content for accessibility? for more information on the Accessibility Checker and instructions for checking content.

View the rich text content on the page.

Users accessing the page will see the rich text content displayed.

Add additional rich text content to the page.

Multiple instances of rich text content may be added to a single page. Content may be added to different places on the page:

  1. To add more content below the content that you've added, select the Add (+) icon in the bottom right corner of the newly added content.
  2. To add more content above the content that you've added, select the Add (+) icon in the top right corner of the newly added content.
  3. To add more content at the bottom of the page, select Add Content.
