How do I add links to assignments, forums, or quizzes to a page in Lessons?
Instructors and collaboration site owners can add links to assignments, forums, discussion topics, and tests and quizzes so that site participants can access these items directly from a page in Lessons. By adding links to these items, instructors and site owners can control the order in which site participants can access them. Go to Lessons.
Select the Title of the page (e.g., Lessons, Activities, Week: 1) from the tool menu in your site.
Select the link for the desired content type.
- Select Link to an assignment to add a link to an assignment in the Assignments tool.
- Select Link to a test or quiz to add a link to an assessment in the Tests & Quizzes tool.
- Select Link to a forum or topic to add a link to a forum or topic in the Discussions tool.
Link to an existing item.
Items that have already been created in the chosen tool will be listed on the page. To add a link to an item that has already been created:
- Select the radio button to the left of the item name.
- Select Use selected item.
Note: Items from Assignments, Tests & Quizzes, and Discussions need to be published before they can be linked to a page in Lessons. Assignments, forums, and topics in draft mode or quizzes in working copies cannot be linked to the page until they are published.
Link to a new item.
To create a new item in the desired tool and add a link to it on the page, select Create new...
Create a new item.
The system will direct you to the selected tool so that you can create the new item. You can find instructions for how to create an item below:
Select Continue with...
After the item is published, select Continue with... at the top of the page.
Select the new item to add a link.
- Select the radio button to the left of the item name.
- Select Use selected item.
