How do I obtain the link (URL) for a file or folder in Resources?
Each file and folder in Resources has its own URL. You can share links to items in Resources with your site participants (e.g., via email).
Note: To insert a link or embedded image from Resources into the Rich-Text Editor in another tool (e.g., Lessons), you should use the steps in the following articles, so that you can import linked content from one site to another without needing to recreate the links in each new site:
Go to Resources.
Select the Resources tool from the tool menu of your site.
Select Actions, then Edit Details.
- To the right of the Resources file or folder for which you would like to obtain the link, select the Actions menu.
- Select Edit Details.
Note: On mobile devices or small screens, the Actions menu displays as a down arrow icon.
Expand the File/Folder Details section.
Select the File Details section title to expand the section.
Copy the Web address (URL).
Under File Details, select the item's URL in the Web address (URL) box and copy it (Ctrl + C on a PC or Command + C on a Mac).
Note: By default, the full URL displays. You can display the file's or folder's Short URL by selecting the Short URL checkbox.
