How do I enable and use LaTeX math in my site?

UVACollab can display LaTeX equations as mathematical notation in most tools. If you enable LaTeX in your site, equations that site participants write in LaTeX will be displayed beautifully.

Go to Site Settings.

Select Site Settings from the tool menu in your site.

Select Manage Tools.

Enable MathJax.

Underneath the Selected Tools list, select Enable MathJax for automatic rendering of LaTeX and AsciiMath in this site.

Select Continue.

Select Continue to save your changes.

Select Finish.

The confirmation screen shows that you have enabled LaTeX. Select Finish to confirm.

Enter LaTeX equations in the Rich-Text Editor.

Insert $$ before and after the mathematical formula to set it apart from the rest of the text. When you preview and save your LaTeX expression, it will render as an equation.
